Core Responsibilities & Regulatory Guidance

Trade Advisory: Providing expert legal advice on U.S. and global trade regulations, specifically focusing on Customs Valuation and Tariff Classification.

Compliance Oversight: Partnering with internal logistics and customs teams to develop compliance policies, manage audits, and respond to regulatory inquiries.

Agreement Management: Drafting and reviewing complex trade-related agreements and filings, while managing relationships with outside counsel.

Strategic Monitoring: Assessing the business impact of emerging regulatory developments in the e-commerce and international shipping landscape.
Required Qualifications

Legal Credentials: Juris Doctor (JD) degree and an active membership in at least one state bar.

Technical Experience: 3+ years of specialized legal experience in international trade, with a proven track record in customs and import issues.

Industry Context: Preferred experience handling customs/import challenges specifically within the e-commerce or high-volume logistics industry.

Communication: Strong ability to partner with cross-functional logistics teams and translate complex legal requirements into actionable business guidance.

Total Salary: $200,000 to $400,000 per year, determined by experience and competencies.
