Role Overview: The “Human Mannequin”

Torrid is looking for a Freelance Fitting Model specifically for Bra design and technical development. Unlike commercial modeling, a Fit Model acts as a “human mannequin” to help technical designers evaluate how a product fits, wears, and moves on a real body. You will be a vital part of the production cycle, ensuring that garments are cut and proportioned exactly as envisioned by the design team.

Key Responsibilities & Technical Feedback

• Fit Sessions: Participating in live fit sessions with technical designers to try on bra samples at all stages of production.

• Communication: Providing clear, detailed, and honest feedback on how the garment feels, its comfort level, and any areas of restriction or poor fit.

• Consistency: Maintaining target weight and specific body measurements to ensure consistent sizing for the brand’s production standards.

• Internal Collaboration: Working closely with the technical design team to troubleshoot construction issues based on real-world wear ability.

Critical Bra Measurement Requirements

To maintain the integrity of the design process, candidates must fall within the following measurement ranges:

• Size 42DD: Full Bust 48–49.5″ | Under bust 40–42″

• Size 44DD–44G: Full Bust 49–52″ | Underbust 42–44″

• Size 48DD–48G: Full Bust 51–54″ | Underbust 46–48″

• Size 50DD–50G: Full Bust 52–55″ | Underbust 48–50″

Required Profile

• Location: Must be local to the Los Angeles / City of Industry area for on-site sessions.

• Reliability: Measurements will be taken periodically to ensure they meet the specific requirements of the position.

• Professionalism: Ability to communicate fit information professionally and work in a collaborative studio environment.
