Role Overview & Strategic Mission
Jefferson Health is seeking an Energy Engineer for our Center City facilities. This role is pivotal in analyzing, developing, and implementing energy strategies to reduce waste and minimize the environmental footprint of our expansive health system. You will be the technical lead in identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring our facilities operate at peak efficiency.
Core Responsibilities & Technical Analysis

Energy Auditing: Conducting detailed energy audits and preparing comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations for facility optimization.

Project Design: Designing and implementing energy-saving projects with a focus on renewable energy and advanced Energy Management Systems (EMS).

Operational Monitoring: Tracking utility usage and costs to develop budget-friendly solutions and improve overall energy consumption.

Compliance & Training: Staying updated on energy legislation to ensure regulatory compliance and training staff on new sustainable systems.
Required Qualifications & Certifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is REQUIRED.

Experience: Proven experience in energy auditing and implementing large-scale energy-saving projects.

Desired Credentials: Industry certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or LEED Accredited Professional are highly desirable.
