The positions require rotating shifts since the NWS operates 24/7 to ensure continuous weather monitoring. Conditions of Employment

Candidates with equivalent education and experience combinations may also qualify.

Specialized Experience Requirements

1. GS-05: Meeting the basic education requirement qualifies candidates at this level.
2. GS-07: Requires one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or one year of graduate-level education.
