Contract Specialist Jobs

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) is seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist to support complex acquisition and contracting activities. The selected candidate will play a key role in developing, negotiating, and managing contracts that directly support national security missions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and manage a variety of contracts, including service, supply, and research agreements.

• Conduct market research and analyze procurement requirements.

• Prepare contract documentation, including solicitations, proposals, evaluations, and award documents.

• Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and agency policies.

• Lead negotiations with contractors to achieve the best value for the government.

• Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

• Provide expert guidance to management and stakeholders on contracting procedures and policies.

• Identify and resolve contract-related issues throughout the contract lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, contract management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• Experience in federal contracting or acquisition processes.

• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other relevant regulations.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

• Security clearance eligibility may be required.
