Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) is seeking a Data Solutions Engineering Manager to lead the integration of design, construction, and technology. In this role, you will bridge the gap between Kiewit Technology Group (KTG) and Kiewit Data Services (KDS), ensuring that historical project data is curated, accessible, and actionable. Your leadership will directly improve job estimation accuracy and mitigate risks for massive transportation and infrastructure projects.

Core Responsibilities & Technical Leadership

• Team Mentorship: Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team of data engineers and analysts, setting high standards for career growth and project delivery.

• Architectural Oversight: Designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, warehouses, and data lakes that support real-time business needs.

• Data Governance: Establishing frameworks for data lineage, metadata management, and rigorous standards for data quality and security.

• Strategic Coordination: Translating complex business requirements from stakeholders into technical data capabilities and tools.

• Continuous Improvement: Driving best practices in code reviews, pipeline monitoring, and automation while staying current with cloud and ML-Ops technologies.

Required Qualifications & Success Factors

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in designing data solutions (APIs, Streaming systems, Data Lakes).

• Leadership: Proven ability to lead technical teams and communicate complex trade-offs to non-technical business leaders.

• Experience: In-depth knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations, and risk management within data systems.
